MLQ3’s Leni Lamentations

The latest BBM political ad has hit Manolo Quezon hard. Right in the balls, I think. Not that he doesn’t deserve a kick or two in his privates. But somehow, I commiserate with his plight. This is really like having the wind knocked out of you after absorbing an aramlite butt in your stomach.

The windmills of Bangui figure prominently in the Marcos political ad and they probably did so also in Quezon’s mind, much like the original Michel Le Grand composition, which was the main theme of the original Thomas Crown Affair.

Coming off the Hadouken/Kame fiasco of Leni, Manolo must have said to himself, “My god!!! We can’t be all this stupid!!!? But they actually are. Even the Leni diehards cringed at the sight of their beloved Saint, doing tai-chi-like moves in the ad which left viewers wondering, what the hell is she doing? It wasn’t until an expert on anime lore explained that everyone thought, ah so…But they still didn’t get it. They still don’t up to now.

MLQ3’s piece is his way of venting his ire on the morons who are running Robredo’s campaign. Why he isn’t part of it, together with is cohorts Lacierda and Valte, we are not privy to, but it most likely has something to do with the VP’s Special Adviser, the Mustachioed One, who is Banal.

Manolo couldn’t help himself so he came up with another set of pointers today in his Facebook post.

The post makes you think if there is anyone on the Robredo campaign team who is on the same intellectual plane as Manolo to begin with. I doubt very much if Robredo has read The Art of War. It was never on display at the side of her table in any of the videos she’s appeared in. Fat chance that she understood it even if she read it.

At this point, Robredo should probably start playing Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, given she needs to overcome Marcos’ huge lead over her. It remains to be seen if there is another survey which will be released before the end of the year. It actually won’t serve much of a purpose given that work stops during the second half of the month as Filipinos go into holiday ape-shit mode. There will be more parties and celebrations this year compared to 2020. With Omicron looming on the horizon, you can be sure everyone will take advantage of Alert Level 2 to party. But even if there is another survey, the results won’t likely be much different than what the last one showed.

If you’re looking for more entertainment of the Leni kind, I would suggest you watch the Kandidatalks of Joey Concepcion’s Go Negosyo. Robredo laid a big fat egg there too.
